Celebrating Black History Month UK 2023 at Aycliffe School

In October, the Kayine Education team had the pleasure of visiting Aycliffe to celebrate Black History Month

We engaged students in an interactive cultural experience, allowing them to try on traditional clothing and jewelry, explore Black music through a smart board, and sample authentic Nigerian snacks such as chin chin, plantain chips, and malt drinks. Students also had the opportunity to play traditional instruments and immerse themselves in the rhythm and energy of an African dance workshop. It was a vibrant and enriching experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for Black history and culture.
